I like these because they come in several colors and have stars. As a Chicagoan, we like our stars (look at the flag). They are very dense and provide a solid grip. Use hair spray to attach them and they will remain stuck on your handlebars for a long time. If they start sliding off, remove them completely, clean the bar, and reinstall it. If you don't, the grip will start to peel apart around the stars. Still, I give this product 5 stars because of their color choices and density. They feel thicker than Oury grips and have the same grippy feeling.

I've used the star grips for year.They used to be made by a company called the Big Cheese.These grips have dual density compound. The main grip is soft, which will get sticky over time as it wears out, the stars are made of harder rubber.I've used it to commute and get around town for a couple of year and now they have holes in them, where the outside of my palms would rest.They're not the most comfortable grip. But I love the design, and haven't put anything else on my mountain bikes.The ends of the handle bars always seem to cut a circle through the grips, so I would suggest somehow plugging the bar ends before slipping on those grips.

Put these on my single speed and get compliments on them all the time. They work well for my daily 15 mile commute to work and don't seem to be wearing out.
