Brooks Saddles B68 S Imperial features the central cut-out, first designed by BROOKS over 100 years ago. The “registered cutting”, as can be read in the 1890 catalogue, is “a sure preventive to all perinea pressure". The black leather seat features tubular steel rivets, and the frame is made with chrome plated steel. The saddle weighs 450 grams.

Another awesome Brooks saddle!

Bought this as an early Christmas gift for the stoker of my life on the tandem... to replace a Terry seat that came on our new used road tandem... she absolutely loves this seat... can't tell you how many times I've overheard her telling folks about the awesome ride quality in the last month... we have about 10 Brooks saddles now as we've converted almost all of our bikes over to Brooks in the last 2 years... but this is the first that we've bought that is esp. designed for a woman, and though the others that she's been riding are far superior to what came on the bikes, this one has brought so many "Thank You!s" and extra hugs and kisses that I know I've hit a home run in this gift purchase! Both my wife and I have suffered through years of sore-butt syndrome and countless saddle experiments until a friend finally recommended Brooks so highly that I decided to shell out the big bucks for one, and now we look back and wish we had started with Brooks, both men's and women's versions! We ride a lot, me at 10000 miles this past year and her at about 3000, and Brooks has brought so much comfort that we just order bikes now specifying Brooks saddles on the bike. Nothing has increased our riding pleasure like our Brooks saddles have done! Short aside, my wife's supervisor is from England, where Brooks saddles are made, and he claims that one cannot find any other brand of saddle there but Brooks, and I don't find that hard to believe... Ride On!

Beware! what shows on the product description, a B68 MEN'S saddle, becomes a B68S, a WOman's saddle, when it goes in your cart. If you don't catch it then, you get the wrong thing; fact is, it doesn't appear you can get the right thing, as this always happens.
