The Alton M Fixie is a unique mixture of the Fixie and Mini-velo bicycles. This bike features flip flop, single speed, 20" Kenda tires, and an aero type unicrown fork. This bike has some problems, but it's easily the most enjoyable bike I own. It's like riding a comfortable, fast BMX. After making some minor adjustments it's nearly silent as well. The brakes squealed, so I replaced the shoes and that solved the problem. The rear brake cable rattled against the frame, but some rubber grommets from my LBS fixed that. I did not install the stock pedals so I can't comment on them, but my Shimano M520s work great on it. The tires are pretty cheap, but finding good 451 tires isn't too difficult. I went with Shwalbe Duranos. There are also no mounts in the frame for a water bottle cage, so be prepared for that strange little problem too.This little bike is amazing though, and for now if you are looking for a single speed mini velo in the US this may be your only choice.
