For 2009 we have completely revised our : HD Ceramic Guard, Triple Nano Compound, LiteSkin side wall. The Marathon Supreme is now even lighter and faster. Puncture resistance has also been improved and its grip on wet roads remains outstanding! Note: Not suitable for use with a sidewall dynamo. HD SpeedGuard and RoadStar compound are 2011 versions.

I live in NYC and was searching for the perfect tire for my Cannondale Quick 3. The bike came with some annoying Kendo Quickroller tires that punctured on glass within a block's distance!!!!!! Boooooo Quickroller!!! Anyway, I have a pretty light and quick bike for a hybrid, move around the entire city from the Bronx to Manhattan and wanted the best balance I could find between weight, puncture resistance, and performance (but stylish good looks as well....forgive me I'm vain). After massive amounts of reading and research, I thought I'd give the "Supreme's" a shot. They're a little pricey but I do understand that you definitely get what you pay for sometimes....and also value outweighs price in some circumstances. Well though I preferred to see them personally in a store, with some random salesmen telling me how amazing they are to make a sale, I ordered them. Have only been able to ride for an hour or so but the confidence these tires give you are ridiculous!!! Absolutely love them. They are PERFECT for city riding with all the glass, gravel, loose asphalt, ninjas and etc...geez I even feel bumps less!!! They're great and this is def the beginning of something beautiful. Can't wait to take them long distance across the city. Will update. And oh...did I mention they look great? Well they do! Buy em!!

After 5000+ miles without a flat on Marathon XR's, I needed a new pair of tires. I've been riding mostly paved roads lately, so I was looking for a good, dependable tire that didn't have as much tread. After looking around, I decided to go with the lighter, narrower (700x32 insead of 700x35), smoother tread Marathon Supreme. I've only road them for a few hundred miles so far, but they are working great. I seem to go 1-2 mph faster for the same effort and they still give a comfortable ride. No flats so far and have no worries about flats in the near future.

...and I have to say, going from the stock Bontrager Hard Case Racelites to these made riding my Trek 7.3 FX a new and pleasant experience. They roll smooth and fast, and the normal encounters with glass and other debris left them unscathed. However, it's too soon to talk about puncture resistance. I'll report back if I have any issues with that. I expect a flat once in a while since I ride on roadways that have glass, wire, screws, nails and other debris as a normal feature, but the Hard Case tires shrugged most of that stuff off - I often pick glass and wire bits out of the tires after a ride. If these live up to my previous experience with Schwalbe tires they should do just as well. with a luxury ride to boot.
