If I ever lost or had stolen these panniers, I'd replace them with another Ortlieb product. Yes, they're expensive - the Euro is strong against the dollar. But they're worth it - the material is made just for Ortlieb and it's tough and waterproof. The seams are permanent and water tight. Ortlieb stands behind them for five years!Finally - the name. The "back" and "front" indicate the intended location (back bags are bigger) and "roller" means you roll the top of the bag to seal it (like a dry bag).

My first waterproof bag! It's bright red and screams look at me. I love the bold color. This is my first pannier with a roll down type top with buckles on the sides to close/secure items within. I can't say I like this rolling clasp system. But it works. I would much prefer a zipper. It also does not have handy compartments to keep your keys, wallet, or other small items handy. Material quality seem high. Would I buy it again? Probably.
