I bought these pedals for my city bike, and they are perfect for how I ride. I use my bike to go to work sometimes and the platform side is perfect for my work shoes. I use the SPD side when I excercise on my bike and I love the easy in and out action and balance. These pedals are a great deal!

these might be ok for road or very light mountain bike but first day i rode and hit a rock the black metal part that goes all the way around got bent badly although i was able to unbend them i was expecting them to be a bit tougher. also without clips they seem to flip over too easily when peddling at the bottom of the stroke if u like to scrape back when not clipped in for that extra bit of power.
