Continental 0122275 City Ride 700 x 37 Urban Tire is fast and tough, built for the demands of the city. Cycling through the city comfortably and safely is what the leisure commuter demands. Due to its inverted tread design it has a great contact patch to the road and low rolling resistance, which means a faster ride. Additional grooves on the tread draw water away and deliver true handling and short breaking distances in wet conditions. A new Rubber Breaker strip under the tread protects from punctures. The City Ride can be fitted to all Hybrid and MTB bikes. Specs: Weight - 635 grams; Recommended PSI - 58; Maximum PSI - 70; PU - 10.

I have two sets of these for two different bikes: 47-559 (26 x 1.75 "mountain bike") and 32-622 (32 mm wide on a 700c rim.) They always seem to be the best option at my local bike shop which is why I have so many of them, for me at least.For their size and width they roll very efficiently. From a reliability point of view (very important) a I just haven't ever had a flat with these at all.Tread design: a nice smooth rolling surface in the center, with visible tread "features" on the sides. Those tread features growl when the bike is banked in a tight turn, but otherwise don't interfere with efficient rolling for about 99% of my cycling miles.A nice ride...Updated after a year or two: changed from 4 stars to 5. I continue to really like these tires.

I installed the 1.75 width tires on a commuter bike I built from an old mountain bike. I would have preferred 1.50's but my rims wouldn't accept a tire that narrow.A note about tire pressure: 58 psi is the max pressure stated on the tire. I found that was too low to support my weight (195 lbs); the rear tire appeared very squished while riding and I could hear a bit of that "whish" sound that underinflated tires sometimes make. After a bit of experimenting, I'm currently running 64 psi in the rear. At that pressure, the tire has the normal slight amount of squish. It's 10% over max and I was a bit concerned about doing it, but I've ridden approx 120 miles so far at that pressure; it's working well for me and rolling resistance has been noticeably reduced. If I later encounter a problem related to this practice, I'll update my post. 54 psi is perfectly adequate in my front tire.I prefer these tires very much over MTB tires, as they are much more suited to the type of riding I do. (30 mile round trip commute over a mix of bike trail, highway and city streets). I occasionally ride short distances across grassy areas or packed gravel and they perform well.I like these tires and would recommend them, but with the caveat about tire pressures.

I purchased these tires to replace some Kenda Komfort 26x2.25 that came on my K2 Easy Street and I couldn't be happier. Riding is no longer like riding in sand. I run them at 60 psi. The ride is marginally harder but not enough to complain. I would recommend these tires to anyone looking to refit a comfort bike or mountain bike forstreet use.
