After my bike was stolen (I left it along side my garage overnight), I got a new one. The new bike had huge knobby tires, not the best for the work commutes I mostly use the bike for. I spent about $8.50 per tire on my last set of mountain bike street tires. Let me just say that paying more than twice as much for these Continentals definitely gave me more than twice as good a tire. Continental makes some highly rated performance tires for cars. It was no surprise to me that these tires have great grip and ride quality, even when pumped to higher pressure levels.Another reason I bought these particular tires: I wanted a smooth rolling street tire with tread that could cope off the pavement as well, and the Tour Rides are perfect! (Of course, when I take the bike out into the woods, the knobbys go back on.)The anti-puncture material is another good feature. I've had them about 2 months and, considering all the small, sharp debris lying on roadside pavement and at intersections, they've held up great. Of course, I expect to get many more miles out of them before they start to show wear and age.

I have these tires on two bikes. One set are 700 x 37 on my single speed and the other set is 700 x 32 on my touring/fitness bike. If you inflate these regularly then you will rarely have a problem. No tire is totally broken-glass proof, but these are pretty close to it and I think that I have had one flat in 3K miles on two sets in NYC & the area. I rode my touring bike from Boston to NYC in the rain, over rough roads, with a bunch of geared out dudes with super slick tires. They experienced some flats in the 285 miles, but these were solid for me and i had to inflate them 1 time over the three day ride. The center bead on these allows for low rolling resistance while the outside of the tread allows for serious stability through rough roads, sand patches, wet leaves, acorns, dirt roads, junky city streets, etc. These are a great tire for the value. I am 6'5, 250 lbs and i can not use a dainty tire. you will not be disappointed with these.

Very good replacement to my deteriorated front cyclocross tire. This continental tour ride urban 700x32 replaced my old kenda kwick 700x30c. I noticed that this continental 700x32 is narrower than kenda 700x30c it replaced. I thought that this new tire would be wider than my old one because of 32 supposed to be wider than 30c, so much for the ambiguous bike tire specifications. Anyway, it turned out that I like how this tire fitted my bike, it looks sleek but grips the road very very well. I have now conti 32 front and kenda 30c rear tire combination. Riding mostly on paved trails with few bumpy off roads makes this a definite buy for me maybe the same 32 size in the future when my rear kenda 30c worns out. A bit heavier though, Conti 700x32 = 600g(more or less) VS Kenda 700x32c = 399g, but with less rolling resistance on pavements.For the price and sleek look (yet road 'grippy'), this tire won't disappoint.
