I ended up riding these tires for around 1500 miles or so, before getting new ones. No flats or other problems, and I probably could have gotten more out of them.These were great tires for dry conditions. Even on somewhat wet roads, they were ok, despite the lack of any real treads. The only drawback was on really rainy days. For example, on one hilly ride, during cooler temps and rain, I noticed that there was a slight loss of control.I would buy another set of these in a heartbeat!

Note: "Slick" simply refers to the fact that Vitorria didn't add any tread design to these tires. These are not slippery tires. This is a good thing since you don't want (or need) any tread on road tires, even in wet weather. No tread pattern is different than bald. Bicycle tires act much differently than car tires on wet pavement. Cars are prone to hydroplaning and need tread to channel water away. Bicycle tires act like a squeegee due to higher air pressure, narrower profile, and the curved contact patch (bikes lean to turn, cars don't). Do you have less grip in wet conditions? Yes, but that's because it is wet, not because of lack of treads. The tread patterns you see on road tires are purely cosmetic.I just bought my third pair of Rubino Pros (III, slick, 23c). These are excellent, all around tires and will last most people many seasons. The first two sets lasted about 1500 miles each with very few flats. They are far superior to the hutchinson fusion 3 tires which are about the same price range and almost as popular. The Hutchinsons are slightly lighter, but I flatw every 75 miles or so and they started de-laminating after about 500 miles.The Rubinos can run between 100-120 psi at the 23c size (up to 130 with the 25c size). I prefer the responsiveness and performance of higher pressures even though the ride is slightly harsher. Regardless, the Rubino's dampen road noise just as well as any other tire. I've ridden on these tires all around Colorado, through rain & snow, through gravel, over glass, on hard packed dirt roads, and bombing down descents at 45+ mph. They even survived getting covered in fresh tar and chip seal. I trust these tires more than some of the guys I ride with.

With bicycle tyres this thin, there is no way for aquaplaning. Therefore, I got this slick version and have absolutely no regrets!
