CriticalCycles City bicycles are hand built for the commuter lifestyle with a lightweight tig-welded steel frame and an advanced component set that is ideal for riding around town, on the beach boardwalk, and for exercise. The steel tubing and frame geometry enable a softer ride. Standard on each bike are Kenda Kwest Tires ($50 Value), the perfect hybrid/touring tire designed with smooth rounded tread with large water dispersion grooves. Many upgrades are also included such as front and rear fenders, vintage-style bullet headlamp (batteries not included), a mid-century bell, rear rack, sealed bottom bracket. Upright handlebars will keep your eyes on the road while being easier on your back. Included with your bike are all the tools you need build it in 15-30 minutes. This is an excellent bike for short-medium range rides to work. The bike iscomfortable, easy to build, inexpensive, and beautiful in design. I am verycomfortable while riding. The saddle and grips both have a great feel, andI am very comfortable in my riding position. I wouldn't change a thingabout it.This bike has the looks and feel of the $800-1500 Dutch/European CityBikes, but without the hefty price tag. This is an excellent bike forshort-medium range rides to work - my ride is 3-4 miles mostly flat. Thetan tires look great, and I cannot believe all the freebies that come withit. Definitely the best value out there. I was planning on purchasing aLinus or Biria, but when I saw this bike it was a no brainer. I even wentinto a bike shop to get some air and the mechanics could not believe thequality of this bike when I told them how much I paid for it!The frame sizes were pretty straight forward. I was in between sizes so Iwent for the smaller one and feel great on it. I have ordered many bikesonline and this was by far the easiest to assemble. I would definitelyrecommend this bike and brand.

It was a nice bike. I'll remember it fondly -- the first time that I rode the bike to work, it got stolen! Read my other review of the bike lock that I used to lock the bike.This is a very decent bike for the price. I was very impressed with the compact yet sturdy and protective way in which the bike was packed for shipment. I was also impressed with the manner in which the bike was disassembled for easy re-assembly with the few little tools that are included. After assembly, make sure that you lubricate the pedals at the crank and also lubricate the chain.I had two problems upon assembly:I'm an engineer, but I could not figure out how to re-assembly the front headlight after I opened it. Something was not right -- maybe something broke when I opened it. I finally rigged it together with two zip-ties. The light is surprisingly bright as it has several LEDs and would have provided sufficient warning to on-coming traffic.The other problem was with one of the two horizontal stays for the rear rack. While tightening one of the screws/bolts, it was tight, but I persisted, and I persisted so much that the thing broke off inside its frame mount. If I had thought even briefly that I was applying too much force, I would have stopped, but it was still moving. There just was not sufficient space/tolerance for the thing to go in even halfway. It seemed like the rear rack would be fine, though, with just the other horizontal stay as long as I did not load anything even slightly heavy on the rack. However, there would have been so way to back out the broken bolt/screw, and if the other one had similarly broke, it would have been difficult to imagine a way to rig the rack to the bike.The funny thing is that I bought this bike, which I was even calling "ugly granny style", because of its look. It had the look and color that only a momma or pappa could love, so I thought that its look was one way that the bike would be protected from being stolen. I even gave it a new ugly mirror and a new ugly horn to match its old-style headlight, thinking that someone might steal those items but be repelled by the bike as a whole and then target some of the other much more expensive bikes in the bike racks at my workplace. I believe that the bike thief thought that he was targeting a brand new bike that cost $820 rather than $220.
