I bicycle commute 33 mi round trip 3-4 days a week year round. Here in Seattle a rain boot is good to have. This one is convenient, easy-on easy off. I gave it a four because the open bottom does let in a bit more moisture than I would like. On heavy rain days my feet arrive damp though, not soaked.

These are easy to put on and do a great job covering my feet to keep me dry and warm. Don't plan on walking a lot. I am sure it would wear down the material to be on the pavement.

I purchased these to cover my street shoes for my daily 20 mile round trip commute. I live in Seattle and keeping my feet dry is important to me. The covers fit well over my shoes and do a fair job of keeping my feet dry on most days. During medium and heavy rain my shoes and socks get wet. After about 4 1/2 months the covers started wearing through on the sides, which is the reason for the 2 star review. I believe the product should last at least one full season and preferably two or more.I did try to contact Gore Bike Wear and was told that they could not help me, which is also disappointing given the short life of their premium product. I would not recommend these if you live in a wet area like Seattle.
