For fitness I am mostly a runner; I am a neophyte on a bicycle but have decided to take it up to give my knees a break on some days. When I recently bought a bicycle I had to face the specter of buying a helmet, and although I had worn helmets before I knew relatively little about road helmets for cycling, so I took a friend with me who is very experienced and knowledgeable on the subject. After trying on many helmets, I decided (with her concurrence) that the Bell Lumen was a good fit for me. The large fit my cranium perfectly, and I was impressed with its light weight and general comfort. I didn't care much one way or another about the graphics, but liked the red aesthetically best. I appreciated the dial-to-fit system to get a very comfortable fit, and I spent quite a while setting up the strap system before my first real ride.I have been very pleased with the Bell Lumen for the most part, with one minor exception: I find the strap system is very difficult to get adjusted optimally around the ears, and still have not got it quite where I want it (although it's close.)I think this is an excellent helmet and a good value, and I recommend it to anyone needing a decent lightweight road helmet at a reasonable pricepoint.

This is a great helmet, Light, easy to adjust and comfortable on the head. It was much less expensive than the same exact item that was at REI. Quality construction and simple to take off and put on.
